After Pocket

A Pocket alternative that reads your list to you.

Pocket is gone, and with it the Listen button that read your saves aloud. If your list grew faster than you could read it, Tuneread turns it into something you can get through: on a walk, on the train, or while doing the dishes.

What happened to Pocket?

Mozilla shut it down. Pocket stopped working on July 8, 2025. Saves could be exported for a few more months, and then Mozilla deleted them, so a list can’t be brought back now unless you exported it.

Mozilla announced the shutdown in May 2025, to put its effort into Firefox.

Pocket could read to you. Tuneread is made for it.

Pocket’s Listen button read one article aloud. Tuneread does the whole job:

It’s free for 30 minutes of listening a day. Pro removes the limit for $9.99, once.
